Sandoz Bangladesh introduces new packaging with information in Braille format
 

Dhaka, February 25, 2008 - Sandoz, a division of Novartis (Bangladesh) Limited, has introduced new packaging with information in Braille format for the visually impaired people. This initiative is focused on the visually impaired in order for them to gain or improve independence and self-reliance. Sandoz, has already made available 8 products in the market. The outer package has the product name and the strength of the product written in Braille format.

Braille is the internationally widespread reading and writing system for the blind and partially sighted people. the system was founded in 1825 by Louis Braille (1809 - 1852), who lived in France and himself was blind.

This initiative is part of Corporate Social Responsibility, through which Novartis endeavors to create value for society.
